The sad thing is, you probably haven’t heard of him unless you’re taken an upper college level English class. In my personal opinion, his writting, while covering similar subjects as Mark Twain, it far better written than any of Twain’s works. Chesnutt’s novels about racial issues the old south are brilliantly written! Two books that jump to mind “The Marrow of Tradition” and “The House Behind The Cedars” are heart moving and full of heart. I highly recommend checking out the audiobooks!

Hmm, you make a compelling point, but I only read books with spaceships in them.

Thanks for the tip! Somehow I'm unfamiliar with this author and appreciate the pointer.

No prob! I wouldn’t of found out about him if it wasn’t for my old English professor who’s theisis was on southern literature.

Just ordered “The House Behind The Cedars” for an upcoming trip, thanks again for the tip.
Especially after TheOneElectronic pointed out all the spaceships and giant robot battles in the book!
